BRENTWOOD — Middletown High School”s Sierra Egger won a third-place medal on Thursday as several of the team”s varsity wrestlers participated in the Britney David Invitational girls” tournament at Liberty High School in Brentwood.
Egger medaled in the 108-pound division, losing one match, that to Aarica Barcina of Kahuku High in Hawaii. Barcina finished third in Hawaii”s state tournament a year ago at 103 pounds.
Samantha Millard-McEvoy won Middle-town”s other medal, a fourth at 146 pounds.
One win away from a medal were Middletown”s Kaylee Arviso (132), Rachel Ramirez (146) and Jessie Flynn (165).
