LAKEPORT — Alumni as far back as the early 1990s teamed up to play the current-day Clear Lake High School varsity girls” basketball team in a fundraising basketball game on Thursday in Lakeport.
Clear Lake”s varsity girls beat the alumni 41-31 behind 12 points from Jessica Asbury and another eight from Coree Alexander. Morgan Psalmonds added seven points, including a pair of 3-pointers, in the exhibition contest.
For the alumni, Kaila Sterbank and Julie Jackson led the way with six points apiece and Shannon Brooks had five.
Jackson had both of the alumni squad”s 3-pointers.
Former varsity girls” coach Ken Hook led the alumni team, which included Sterbank, Jackson, Mayer Emilee Meyer, Miranda Richardson, Brianna Butcher, Martha Cardonas, Shannon Brooks, Jenny Andre, Katie Reynolds, Rylie Gabehart, Jenny Bowen, Mari Jordan, Alisha Hopkins and Jenny Lindeblad.
