UKIAH — For 20 years, Ukiah-area keyboard artists have put together sellout concerts benefiting local schools or foundations. In January, there will be two performances at the Mendocino College Center Theatre, located at 1000 Hensley Creek Road in Ukiah. Performances take place at 7 p.m. Jan. 7 and 2 p.m. Jan. 8.

Tickets cost $10 for students and seniors; $15 general and $25 for “I ”Wanna” See the Hands” limited seating.

Performances will feature Spencer Brewer, Elena Casanova, Tom Ganoung, Chris James, Elizabeth MacDougall and Ed Reinhart with special guests Frankie J and Bruce Gordon.

By popular demand, the concert will feature all the pianists on stage throughout the concert. These popular musicians will trade stories and songs with two pianos on stage to accommodate impromptu collaborations.

This concert is an annual sellout because of the diversity and quality of all involved. The musical selections range from classical to jazz, boogie woogie to Cuban.

Sponsors of this concert are Savings Bank of Mendocino County, Sparetime Supply, Daubenack Insurance Services, Parducci Wine Cellars, Willits Furniture Center, KWNE 94.5, MAX Rock, KOZT-FM, Waterman Plants and KZYX & Z.

The concerts benefit the Ukiah Educational Foundation and the Allegro Scholarship Program. There will be autographed CDs and cassettes by the artists for sale in lobby. Refreshments will be provided by Ukiah Civic Light Opera.

Tickets are on sale at Mendocino Book Co. in Ukiah, Mazahar in Willits and Watershed Books In Lakeport. For more information call 468-8910.
