LAKEPORT — Rehearsals are underway for the Lakeport Community Theater Company”s production of Neil Simon”s “The Odd Couple (Female Version),” which will be performed from Feb. 24 to 26 and March 2 to 4 at the Soper-Reese Community Theater, located at 275 S. Main St. in Lakeport.

The female version is Simon”s remake of his all time classic with women in the major roles and shares the same premise as the original: two complete opposites trying to share the same living space. The big difference is that this time it isn”t Oscar and Felix, it is Olive and Florence.

Cindy Strong and Laura Sammel star as Olive and Florence. The friends who join them for their weekly Trivial Pursuit game are Toni Stewart and Joan Luke as Sylvie and Mickey and Michelle Chapman and Diana Schmidt as Vera and Renee.

There are also the two Spanish brothers who live upstairs played by Timothy Fischer as Manolo Costazuela and James Paton as his brother Jesus.
