NICE ? Lake County craftsmanship is set to be on display in a San Francisco art gallery beginning Friday as part of an exhibition recreating the climax scene from Francis Ford Coppola”s film “Twixt.”

Movie crews filmed in the county during fall 2010, and among the featured sets was The Woodpecker, a store located along East Highway 20 in Nice.

John Hathaway said more than a dozen birdhouses and a bat house from his shop were transported to the Bay Area several weeks ago for the exhibit, which is scheduled to open Friday at FIFTY24SF Gallery.

“I feel honored to be included in this showing,” Hathaway said.

The exhibition, titled “TWIXT sc. 83,” will focus on a climactic sequence from the Oscar-winning director”s newest movie, according to the gallery”s website.

The film, which stars Val Kilmer, Elle Fanning and Bruce Dern, has reportedly been shown at several festivals but not yet received a wide release.

FIFTY24SF Gallery is located at 218 Fillmore St. in San Francisco. For more information, visit www.fifty24sf.com/home-2/.
