LAKEPORT — Soper-Reese Community Theatre”s Third Friday Live series continues Jan. 20 with Northern California blues favorite, Bill Noteman and the Rockets.

Opening for Bill Noteman is acoustic guitarist Travis Rinker. Doors open at 7 p.m. The theater is located at 275 S. Main St. in Lakeport.

Bill Noteman and The Rockets has performed in Northern California since 1983 with original members Bill Noteman, vocals and harmonica; Larry Platz, guitar; David Neft, keyboards; Dave Falco, bass; and Steve DuBois, drums.

During the years the band has worked stages throughout Northern California, playing the Blues By The River Festival in Redding three times, the Russian River Blues Festival, the San Jose Jazz and Blues Festival, Calistoga Blues Festival and the Cobb Mountain Blues Festival.

The band has opened a two-night show for BB King and has also shared stages with Tower of Power, Steve Miller, Tommy Castro, Jimmy McCracklin, Bettie Mae Fikes, Commander Cody, Mark Hummel, Sugar Pie DeSanto, Robben Ford and The Ford Blues Band, JC Smith, Joanna Connor, Delta Wires, John Nemeth, Terry Hank, Volker Striffler Band, Chris Cotton and a continuing list of all-star blues bands and headliners.

All seats for “Third Friday Live” cost $10. Tickets are online at www.SoperReeseTheatre.com.

Tickets can also be purchased at The Travel Center in the Shoreline Shopping Center, open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at 1265 S. Main St. in Lakeport, or at the theater box office, open from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and for two hours before showtime on the day of the show.
