CLEARLAKE — Two people suffered stab wounds Tuesday during an assault that occurred in the area of 28th Avenue in Clearlake.
One victim required aerial transport to an out-of-county medical facility for treatment of her wounds.
Clearlake Police were dispatched at approximately 12:15 p.m. to a home on 16100 block of 28th Avenue. After arriving within a few minutes of dispatch, officers located two stabbing victims inside the home. The victims were identified as Robert Bradley, 30, and Carol Wallerman, 23, both of Clearlake.
According to Clearlake Police Department (CPD) Sgt. Joseph, medical personnel arrived and began treating the victims while CPD officers began interviewing them as they were receiving treatment.
“Though the victims were not fully cooperating with the investigation, officers learned that the assault occurred at a residence in the 15800 block of 28th Avenue,” Joseph said.
Both victims were transported by Lake County Fire Protection District medical units to St. Helena Hospital Clear Lake. Joseph said the man”s injuries were not life-threatening, but the woman required aerial transport. He said her condition is unknown.
According to Joseph, officers located the crime scene and obtained evidence supporting the alleged assault. The case is under investigation and anyone with information is urged to contact CPD detectives Alvarado or Peterson at 994-8251. Callers may remain anonymous.
