CLEARLAKE — Clearlake City Council members designated Thursday to serve on various committees. Mayor Appointments for 2012 are essentially the same as last year”s appointments.
Mayor Joey Luiz made the following appointments:
– Abandoned Vehicle Authority, Lake County Building Department: Curt Giambruno, member; Judy Thein alternate.
– Sewer District 1-6 Advisory Board, Lake County Special Districts: Joyce Overton, member.
– Coordinated Resource Management, Lake County Department of Public Works: Joyce Overton, member; Jeri Spittler, alternate.
– Clear Lake Advisory Committee, Lake County Flood Control and Lakebed Management: Frank Zarate (appointed May, 25, 2011), member; Jeri Spittler, alternate.
– Integrated Waste Management Task Force/Solid Waste Diversion Committee and Clearlake Solid Waste Committee, Lake County Public Services: Curt Giambruno, member; Joey Luiz and Doug Herren, Public Works Supervisor, alternate.
– Vector Control Advisory Board (four-year term expiring Jan. 2013): Curt Giambruno, member.
– Lake County Clean Water Program Advisory Council (National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System), Lake County Department of Public Works: Bob Galusha, member; Joyce Overton, alternate.
– P.E.G. Board: Joyce Overton, member; Joey Luiz, alternate.
– Traffic Safety Committee, City of Clearlake: Joyce Overton, member; Judy Thein, member; city administrator, member; and Bob Galusha, member.
– Lake County Clean Water Program Advisory Council (National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System), Lake County Department of Public Works: Bob Galusha, member; Joyce Overton, alternate.
– Area Planning Council (APC): Judy Thein and Joey Luiz, members; Curt Giambruno, alternate.
– LAFCO (four-year term Jan. 1, 2011 to Jan. 1, 2015): Jeri Spittler, member;.
– Lake County Airport Land Use Commission (July 3, 2007 to July 12, 2011), Lake County Planning Department: Jeri Spittler, alternate. Judy Thein removed herself as member of the commission because she said the commission never meets.
– Redevelopment Advisory Committee, City of Clearlake: Members Doug Coddling, Robert Riggs, Bill Perkins and Tim Williams. One vacant position remains on the committee.
– Clearlake Planning commissioners remain as follows: Gina Fortino-Dickson, Bill Perkins, Carl Webb, Alvaro Valencia and Al Bernal.
– League of California Cities Redwood Empire division legislative committee: Joey Luiz.
