LAKEPORT — First responders located a body in a city creek bed late Tuesday morning.
Police Chief Brad Rasmussen would only identify the deceased as a man who was associated with a nearby premises.
Emergency personnel received a report around 11:40 a.m. of a man down in a creek bed on the 200 block of South Brush Street between Armstrong and Martin streets, Rasmussen said. Medical units confirmed the death shortly after arriving, he added.
The man”s death appears to be accidental but remains under investigation, Rasmussen said.
