LAKEPORT — The stabbing case against Ronald J. Blesio appears to be heading for trial after a judge Tuesday said an early resolution wouldn”t be possible.

Blesio, 35, is charged with six felonies for allegedly stabbing two men during a fight at the Shell gas station in Lakeport on June 12.

Blesio has denied any wrongdoing, pleading not guilty to all charges.

Judge David W. Herrick met privately with prosecution and defense attorneys as part of a settlement conference Tuesday afternoon at the Lake County Courthouse. After the meeting, the judge said it was clear to him a disposition was not possible.

Herrick then confirmed the trial date of Feb. 1.

Blesio, who remains in custody at the Lake County Hill Road Correctional Facility, will next appear in court Jan. 27 for trial assignment.
