LAKEPORT — Authorities identified the man found dead in a city creek bed late Tuesday morning as Charles Richard Goodrich, 65, of Lakeport.
Police Chief Brad Rasmussen made the announcement Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency personnel responded to the 200 block of South Brush Street at approximately 11:40 a.m. after receiving a report of a man down in the creek bed. Paramedics soon determined the person, later deemed to be Goodrich, was dead, according to Rasmussen.
“At this point the death appears to be accidental but the investigation is continuing,” Rasmussen said, adding that an autopsy was set for sometime Wednesday.
