MENDOCINO COUNTY — A Fort Bragg Driver was killed in a crash near Fort Bragg today that closed Highway 20 for nearly an hour and a half, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).

The identities of the drivers and other details about the incident were not available by mid-afternoon, but Ukiah area CHP spokesman officer Randy England reported that a white GMC utility truck and a white Isuzu cargo van collided about 12 and a half miles outside of Fort Bragg, near McGuire”s Pond, at 9:35 a.m.

Highway 20 was closed to traffic until one-lane traffic control began at 11:03 a.m., and both traffic lanes were open at 12:54 p.m., according to England.
