In the Wednesday”s Lake County Record-Bee Charles Moton writes “Simply untrue” arguing that the U.S. government can run a business better than the private sector.

Moton”s letter is in response to Randy Ridgel”s Republican clich? that “Government can”t do anything right.”

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, two government agencies were instrumental and part of the failure Moton writes of, along with other agencies.

It primarily began with the Clinton administration requiring loan companies to provide loans to buyers of homes who could not afford them. Where it went from there was disastrous.

I have read many times from many sources that we have a problem with the government as follows:

Social Security is broke. Medicare is broke. The United States Post Office is broke and the United States of America is broke. And the United States owes about $15 trillion in debt. Who is running these businesses, Mr. Moton?

Darn, I hate writing stuff like this.
