LAKEPORT — A vehicle stop conducted by members of the Lake County Sheriff”s Office (LCSO) Narcotics Task Force resulted in one arrest and the alleged seizure of narcotics, drug paraphernalia, cash and stolen property.
The stop was occurred Tuesday on South Forbes Street in Lakeport, according to LCSO Sgt. Steve Brooks. The driver was identified as Nino Salee Davis, 36, of American Canyon.
Brooks said during the stop, detectives learned that Davis was reportedly on searchable probation out of Napa County for possession of a controlled substance. Detectives searched Davis and alleged he attempted to hide approximately one ounce of methamphetamine, two grams of cocaine and digital scales inside his underwear, Brooks said. He also reportedly had approximately $500.
Brooks said the Narcotics Task Force then conducted a probation search of Davis” motel room in Lakeport, where he reportedly was staying.
Detectives allegedly located a police scanner, a glass “meth” pipe, two hypodermic needles and several oxycontin pills, for which Davis allegedly did not have a prescription. Brooks said detectives also located a laptop computer, which was allegedly stolen during a burglary within the county.
Davis was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance for sale, transportation of a controlled substance and possession of stolen property. He was booked into the Lake County Hill Road Correctional Facility.
The LCSO Narcotics Task Force will continue its efforts to eradicate narcotics from the communities of Lake County and seize the suspected profits of drug trafficking for asset forfeiture whenever possible, Brooks said.
