There has been a lot of talk about Calpine and the union in the paper lately. With that said I want to give my voice. My husband, Greg Sullivan, has worked at the Geysers for 27 years, the last 13 with Calpine. We are both very happy with the outcome of the vote. As far as Greg”s job goes, we have two words that frequently come up in conversation.
They are thankful and blessing. We are in a recession, yet Greg has one of the best jobs in the area and yes we are very thankful. We have been able to help put our oldest two children through college and are currently helping our youngest who is a junior at Sacramento State.
To be able to give our children this gift is amazing. Thank you Calpine. Thank you also for affordable medical benefits. It is a huge blessing not to worry about going to the doctor or dentist when needed.
I know my husband is honest and hard-working, and as his wife I am thankful that he has always been recognized for this. In closing, I would like to thank Calpine for everything. Our family truly does feel blessed. God bless.
