I recently had reception problems with my television and had trouble getting the company to repair it. The first technician came and said there was nothing wrong and left. The second technician who came corrected the problem by replacing the faulty components. I then received a letter from the company requesting that I acknowledge receipt of the components that had been changed and to agree to a contract.
Some time ago in the Peanuts comic strip, Lucy had everyone signing a paper saying no matter what happened she was not responsible. Charlie Brown said that was a really nice thing to have. This contract reminded me of that comic strip. No matter what damage they caused, they were not responsible.
Sorry, I won”t sign it even though it would be a nice thing for them to have.
