It is encouraging to see unemployment rates going down and reports of new work opportunities opening up. However, let”s not become complacent too quickly. There are still many people who are jobless nationwide, and much more is needed to improve the situation. When you are the one without a job, the unemployment rate is 100 percent.
Many people are underemployed because previous jobs disappeared and they will need an opportunity to regain what was lost as they move into former or new careers. In addition, future high school and college graduates need to take their place in the work world as they gain skills and experience.
