LAKE COUNTY — A fire leveled a mobile home near Konocti Vista Casino Thursday. According to Lakeport Fire District (LFD) Chief Ken Wells, the fire at 2620 Mission Rancheria Road was first reported at 5:05 p.m. Two engines and a ladder truck from LFD responded as well as one engine from Kelseyville Fire District. The fire was contained within minutes of the fire crews arrival. Wells said the trailer had only electrical hookups and no other utility lines. No one was injured. Wells said the occupant, John Mitchell, was not available immediately after the fire. Strong winds may have fed the fire. Wells said the cause is under investigation.
