What would you change?
As this has been a problem with me for some time, I will get right to the point. You who think the Constitution is out-of-date, may I ask what you would change about it. Why have those who it is their duty to do so, not done anything? Why is it we ask those in office to take an oath to defend the Constitution if they are not? Without the Constitution we would have a system devoted completely to itself. We are almost there and history tells us what the outcome will be.
The Bill of Rights tells the government what it can”t do, but government officials have passed rules, regulations or laws so they can get around it. This is what people in power will do without the eyes of the citizens on them. I warn, without a threat from me, that there is a price we will all pay and that is the evil that will come our way from those who rule by force. Because power can corrupt, those in power will take all rights away and will make the system work for them.
