LAKEPORT — City police learned during the weekend that a man reported missing late last week was “in good health” and with a Santa Cruz County mental health group, a department spokesman said.
Darayn S. Schweizer, 44, of Moses Lake, Wash. was reported missing Thursday night after a family member last saw him that afternoon near Third and Park streets in Lakeport, according to the Lakeport Police Department (LPD).
The LPD described Schweizer as an “at-risk” man suffering from an undisclosed mental condition.
LPD officers received a call Saturday at approximately 4:45 p.m. from the Santa Cruz County Behavioral Health Unit, informing them Schweizer was with the agency and healthy, according to Sgt. Jason Ferguson.
A relative reportedly retrieved Schweizer from Santa Cruz County, Ferguson said in a statement Saturday evening.
