LAKEPORT — New Vintage Productions will present A Night at the Speakeasy, 7 p.m. March 10 at the Soper-Reese Community Theater, located at 275 S. Main St. in Lakeport.
“Dress to impress, as there will be a costume contest as well as other fun events,” John Tomlinson, artistic director, said. “There will be door prizes for 1920s-type behavior as well.”
Tomlinson added, “Knowing your catch phrases for the period may get you some wax for ?yer father”s moustache,” or a patch for your ?cat”s pajama”s.””
The event includes dancing to a live band, games and a live choreographed burlesque show. Beverages will be available for purchase, however, Tomlinson advised, “Just keep it under your hat.”
Tomlinson added, “Oh yeah, and don”t forget the password. It will be printed on your ticket and no one gets in the speakeasy without the password.”
This show is for ages 18 and older. Cost of admission is $15 per person. Tickets are available at www.SoperReeseTheatre.com.
