CLEARLAKE — The Clearlake City Council will meet for a special/regular meeting beginning with a closed session at 5 p.m. Thursday at Clearlake City Hall. The closed session item pertains to an employee appointment for the position of city administrator.
Members of the public may comment on any agenda item under discussion. Public comment provides citizens an opportunity to speak for three minutes on any topic of choice as well.
The regular agenda will begin at 6 p.m. with a presentation by Carolyn Ruttan, of the Lake County Water Resources division, who will speak about the Invasive Mussel Prevention Program.
Consent Calendar items, which are considered to be non-controversial and will be acted upon as one, include: review of bill, monthly reports from the public works and city clerk departments; Clearlake Waste Solution”s annual report for 2011; consideration of a resolution adopting the 2011 Lake County Transportation Bikeway Plan; and consideration of a request from North Coast Opportunities to terminate the lease of the city-owned building on Golf Avenue.
Business items include:
– Consideration of approval of renovations and improvements to the city-owned youth center building on Golf Avenue by the Lake Community Pride Foundation and consideration of payment of associated fees.
– Continued discussion on the city administrator/city manager – council form of government.
– Continued discussion on the mission/vision/core values statement.
Regular agenda items also include reports by the city administrator and members of the council. Staff reports for each agenda item are available for review at City Hall, 14050 Olympic Drive, during regular business hours.
