HEALDSBURG — The Healdsburg Greyhounds scored twice in the bottom of the seventh to beat the Lower Lake Trojans 10-9 in non-league softball action Tuesday in Healdsburg.
It was the second straight one-run road loss for the Trojans (2-2), who couldn”t hold a 16-15 lead going to the bottom of the seventh on Friday in Upper Lake, where the Cougars won 17-16.
Against Healds-burg, Lower Lake snapped an 8-8 tie on Raelynn Scott”s RBI single in the top of the seventh.
The Trojans scored in every inning except the sixth but should have had a lot more runs, according to coach Chris Emberson.
“We left the bases loaded four times,” he said. “We”re right there, we”re just one to two hits away.”
Scott went 2-for-4 with a RBI and Adrina Miller went 1-for-3 with a two-RBI sacrifice fly to deep center field in the top of the fourth inning.
