KELSEYVILLE — The third annual Kelseyville Olive Festival, an event that focuses on the olive industry in Lake County, as well as other local agriculture and products, will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on March 18 at the Chacewater Wine Company & Olive Mill at 5625 Gaddy Lane in Kelseyville.
The festival will feature vendors offering locally-produced olive oils, olive-related and other local products, free samples, food, arts, crafts and more, as well as education about olives and the local industry.
A silent auction will be held during the festival with proceeds benefiting the California Women for Agriculture”s Lake County Chapter and its AgVenture Program. The Kelseyville Education Foundation will hold a raffle during the event and the Kelseyville Business Association will be selling wristbands and glasses for local beer and wine tasting.
There is no cost to attend the festival; samples and olive mill tours are free-of-charge. Wine and beer tasting will be available for a $15 fee.
Related contests will be held up to and during the festival, including a poster contest, amateur recipe contest, olive pit spitting contest and people”s choice professional recipe contest, open to professional chefs and caterers, and people”s choice olive oil contest.
