LAKE COUNTY — The Lake County Office of Education”s AmeriCorps program and community partners will hold the third annual All AmeriCorps Food Drive, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at Safeway in Lakeport and Grocery Outlet in Lakeport and Clearlake.
Wish list items include canned fruits and vegetables, canned or dry mix soups, boxed dinners, canned meats and stews, spaghetti and other pastas, canned cooking sauces, packaged dry goods, breakfast foods and juice or fruit drinks in cans or plastic containers. All donations stay in Lake County.
During the past 11 years, the Lake County Office of Education”s AmeriCorps program has collected and donated more than 46,000 pounds of food to Lake County food cupboards.
