LAKEPORT — Mark Rawitsch, dean of instruction at the Mendocino College Lake Center, recently surveyed progress at the new site.
Standing in the center of what will become a student plaza area, Rawitsch noted views of Mount Konocti and the hills to the west. According to Rawitsch, the views create a magnificent environment for learning.
“The scale seems just right,” Rawitsch, who co-chaired the project”s planning committee with Director of Facilities Planning Mike Adams, said.
The project is scheduled for completion in December, with the first classes expected for the Spring 2013 semester.
