LAKE COUNTY — The end of the business day Friday marked the filing deadline for candidates wanting their name on the June ballot for Lake County supervisor and judge positions.
Incumbent District 1 Supervisor Jim Comstock and challenger Victoria Brandon submitted their paperwork in time.
The candidates for District 5 Supervisor will be incumbent Rob Brown and challenger Joan Moss.
District 4 Supervisor Anthony Farrington and challenger Fred Langston will face off in the June 5 election.
Four candidates filed to vie for the pending Lake County Superior Court Department 1 vacancy. They were private attorneys Michael H. Friel, Judy Conard and Michael S. Lunas and deputy district attorney Susan Krones.
Department 2 Judge Richard C. Martin, Department 3 Judge Andrew S. Blum and Department 4 Judge Stephen O. Hedstrom filed for their respective seats. Their names will not appear on the ballot, according to Registrar of Voters Diane Fridley.
