LAKEPORT — The Lake County Sheriff”s Office (LCSO) is looking for several unidentified Hispanic men allegedly involved in a robbery of marijuana and cash on Wednesday.
LCSO deputies were dispatched to a home on Big Valley Road in Lakeport at about 1:25 p.m. for a reported home invasion robbery, according to Capt. Chris Macedo.
Deputies contacted a male resident when they arrived on scene, Macedo said.
The man reportedly told authorities two unknown Hispanic men approached him at his home while a third Hispanic man sat in the driver”s seat of a dark-colored Chevrolet SUV.
One of the two Hispanic men outside of the vehicle was described as about 5 feet tall, 160 pounds with no hair or facial hair. He was reportedly wearing light-colored pants and a brown long-sleeve shirt with a pocket in the midsection.
The second man was about 5 feet, 11 inches tall, 180 to 190 pounds with a scar on his right cheek.
Both of the men were in their early to mid-20s, Macedo said.
The driver reportedly had a moustache and wore a dark beanie on his head.
Macedo said the SUV was described as “newer model, black or dark blue in color with a shark-fin like antenna on the front of the roof.”
The alleged victim reportedly told the deputies that the first Hispanic man pulled out a handgun after a brief conversation outside of the house. The second Hispanic man pointed a TASER gun at the resident, Macedo said.
“The suspects then forced the male victim into his house, tied him up and demanded to know where his marijuana was,” Macedo said.
The alleged victim said that two or three more Hispanic men entered the house and brought his wife into the same room and tied her up too, according to Macedo.
A male friend of the couple arrived at the house sometime later, was also tied up, assaulted and placed next to the man and wife, Macedo alleged.
The Hispanic men allegedly searched the home and took approximately two pounds of processed marijuana as well as $1,500. One of the men threatened to kill the three alleged victims if they moved, Macedo said.
The alleged assailants left the area in the SUV in an unknown direction, Macedo said.
The tied-up people were able to free themselves shortly after and called 9-1-1 to report the incident, Macedo said.
One alleged victim reportedly suffered minor injuries while the other two sustained no physical injuries.
“The incident was not reported to the sheriff”s office until approximately three hours after it occurred as all three victims were fearful because of the threat made by the suspects as they left the house,” Macedo said.
Anyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact the LCSO at 263-2690.
