This letter is in response to the letter that appeared in the Feb. 29 edition of the Record-Bee concerning the religious teaching of the rapture (AKA the secret rapture).
One of the reasons that the rapture theory is popular is because if you don”t make it the first time, you have a second chance at salvation later on.
But if you look into the origin of the rapture you”ll find that hundreds of years ago there was a cult that didn”t like what the Bible was saying, so three scholars were commissioned to find an alternate theory of interpretation.
They came up with two new interpretations. It was from one of those interpretations that promoters of the rapture theory were able to get a foothold.
Once you realize that an illicit interpretation of scripture is the basis for the rapture, you know you can”t take this teaching seriously.
