March 24:

* The Lower Lake Historical School Preservation Committee will present its 18th annual Fashion Festival at noon in Weaver Auditorium. Lunch will be served and there will be entertainment and the annual hat parade. Prizes will be awarded for the most beautiful, most creative and best theme hats. This year”s theme is “Swing into Spring.” The fashion show features clothing from Lisa”s Sizes 3-60. Tickets cost $20 and groups may reserve a table for 10. * Soper-Reese Community Theatre in partnership with the Lake County Friends of Mendocino College presents a benefit performance by six regional musicians: Tom Aiken, Spencer Brewer, Elena Casanova, Tom Ganoung, Elizabeth MacDougall and David Neft, at 275 S. Listeners are invited to come out to the theater or tune in via the radio or online via kpfz.org.
