UPDATED:

We have an election coming up, in case you have been lucky enough to miss the coming attractions. It, if nothing else, has heightened the emotions of those who are deeply invested in their ideology. Many (maybe most) think that our young man just needs more time to trim his course and fulfill his promised destination.

Others think that the course is incorrect, even possibly misrepresented, and that we need to reset to our founder”s values and realize what is important before we lose it.

I am too simple a man to truly understand all implications of what either path may lead to. In my view the choice is really between “freedom” or “free stuff”.

Freedom is a double-edged sword, it means when you support our Constitutional Republic you can succeed and reap the rewards or you can fail, however with support to allow you to try again. If you quit trying you will watch others succeed.

Free stuff means you can slack off and not fail, as long as others keep pulling on the rope sufficiently to cover for you.

The more some succeed, the more they will have to give to those who don”t. This path looks good to many when things are bleak, as they are now. We all get it, free stuff is difficult to reject when jobs are scarce and survival is tough.

Lets call this socialism, it historically doesn”t work; when the outcome gets equalized the effort gets minimalized.

If you prefer being supported by others, give the President more time (he is one hell of a salesman).

If you want to transform your effort into results and success, vote him out. Should he lose and should you still prefer free stuff, relocate to Europe.
