LAKEPORT — The third reading in the historic reading series will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Courthouse Museum, 255 N. Main St. in Lakeport.
Patty Kalis will read from letters written by Susan Dorn to her family back East. Dorn, an educated woman and a teacher, came to California during the Gold Rush. She lived for several years in a mining camp before finally settling in Lake County.
