On March 2, I was walking my little rescue dog at Library Park when I noticed a man and a large German shepherd off its leash near the TNT restaurant, about 300 feet away from me. I decided not to get any nearer, and made a turn to go the opposite direction. Within seconds, and from 300 feet away that off leash dog grabbed my little dog by the hind quarters. The man called the dog. The dog let go of my little dog and ran back to the man.

There were some people sitting on a bench nearby who called out asking if my little Yorkshire terrier mix was OK. The man never did inquire.

My dog was not physically injured, however, she was freaked out to the point of panic. I have been training her to trust other beings. Now how long will it take? This man was breaking the law by having his dog off of the leash.

I pray his dog does not harm another animal, or child, or anyone!
