Clear Lake High School and the community of Lakeport can be extremely proud of the leadership of their baseball coach, Zane Jensen, and of the performance and sportsmanship displayed on March 10 by the team members.
The spectators and local team endured the worst display of sportsmanship ever by the John Swett High School team and their coach.
In spite of vile remarks toward Clear Lake players, raucous noise and “hee-hawing” by the John Swett team and the removal of their coach from the game, the players continued to play and participate as all teams should — with integrity, skill and good sportsmanship whether winning or losing. Congratulations.
