PLEASANT HILL — Punisher Wrestling of Clearlake brought home eight firsts, four seconds and four thirds from the Mount Diablo Wrestling Association folkstyle event on Sunday.
First-place medals went to Erick Moreno in the 140-pound junior bracket; to Brandon Painchaud in the 132-pound junior bracket; to Blake Fredrickson in the 60-pound novice bracket; to Jonathan Fredrickson in the 45-pound intermediate division; to Isaiah Rubio in the 45-pound bantam division; to Mason Roath in the 45- to 50-pound bantam division; to Jayden Roath in the 40-pound rookie division; and to Damon Fielden in 65-pound novice division.
Seconds went to Austin Fredrickson, who lost to teammate Rubio in the finals; to Bryan Ramos, who lost to teammate Jonathan Fredrickson; to Nick Meyer; and to Nick Perazzo.
Bringing home third-place medals were Daniel Meyer, JJ Cushman, Nick Celli and Zach Bartley.
Punisher wrestlers head to the state championships this weekend in Fresno.
