MIDDLETOWN — Each Friday the staff and students of the Lake County International Charter School (LCICS) focus on thematic and creative hands-on learning activities. The students call it “Fun Friday” and the staff and parents call it whole-child learning.
The theme for the past trimester has been internationalism. A few weeks ago Kevin Village Stone visited and taught them about the history and code of the samurai. LCICS thanks Stone and his wife, Lindy Danton for sharing their traditions and knowledge.
LCICS is a free, public school in Middletown open to all Lake County students in kindergarten through sixth grade. Call the office at 987-3063 or visit www.lcics.org for more information. Kindergarten roundup will be held on April 18 from 2 to 4 p.m. and on April 21. Time will be announced.
