CLEARLAKE — Clearlake Police Department (CPD) is seeking information regarding the arson of two vehicles and a residence late Wednesday night in the City of Clearlake. According to Sgt. M. Snyder, there is minimal suspect information at this time.
Snyder said that about 11:23 p.m. Wednesday, officers were dispatched to the 3600 block of Madrone Street to assist Lake County Fire Protection District personnel. Upon arrival, the officers were briefed by fire personnel regarding the suspected arson to two parked vehicles and one residence.
“From the investigation, it appears, an unknown suspect(s) placed cloth material in the fueling nozzles of two parked vehicles. Additionally, cloth material was placed into two separate window frames of a residence,” Snyder said. “The cloth material was then lit on fire by the unknown suspect(s).”
Snyder said that fire personnel extinguished the fire with hand-held fire extinguishers.
