LAKEPORT — A representative from the California Department of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA) Tuesday confirmed the department is conducting an investigation at the Lake County Hill Road Correctional Facility.
Peter Milton, with OSHA”s Department of Industrial Relations, confirmed the department opened an investigation at the beginning of March after receiving a complaint. Milton could not confirm if the complaint filed was from an inmate or employee at the jail.
Milton said OSHA investigators have six months to complete the investigation. He said he could not comment on the matter of the investigation or what investigators have found out thus far.
