LAKEPORT — The Clearlake Club in Lakeport was burglarized during the weekend, according to Lakeport Police.

It was reported that cash was stolen.

The door at the rear of the business was forced open some time after 2 a.m. on Sunday. An unknown type pry tool appeared to have been used to gain entry. The suspect(s) cut power and phone lines to the business in an apparent attempt to defeat the alarm system.

The burglary was discovered at 10 a.m. A surveillance system for the business captured images of a suspicious person who appeared to be lurking around the front doors of the business at about 5:30 a.m. Anyone with information about this crime is encouraged to contact Lakeport Police Officer Destry Henderson at 263-5491.
