LAKE COUNTY — The Konocti Bay Sailing Club will host the annual Konocti Cup Sailing Regatta on April 28.
It is the largest sailing event on Clear Lake, normally attracting 40 to 50 boats from Lake County as well as surrounding counties and the Bay Area.
The regatta is a 26-mile marathon race, divided into two divisions based on boat handicaps with a 13-mile “Half Cup” included for the higher handicapped boats.
The event is open to all mono hulled sailboats, 19-feet in length or more. Registration information can be found on the website, www.kbsail.com, or by calling 350-0179 or 953-7059.
