LAKE COUNTY — In celebration of National Poetry Month, a new Poet Laureate for Lake County will be selected by the current Poet Laureate as well as the Poet Laureate emeritus. After approval from the Board of Supervisors, the term of service lasts two years.
The selection will be made on the merit of the applicant”s poetic works, publishing history, community involvement, public speaking/reading and demonstrated leadership abilities.
The deadline for the completed application package is April 16, from which the final three applicants will be interviewed and will read at the final selection event on April 28 at the Lake County Arts Council Gallery in Lakeport.
