Why don”t we make public service a voluntary position without pay. This would keep career politicians from continuously feeding at the public trough.
Most are wealthy enough to serve a two-year stint without truly damaging their personal coffers. Their expense reports should be carefully scrutinized and audited.
Public employees should be required to use their personally owned vehicles and compensated at the national rate. Let”s stop allowing these public servants to financially prosper from their so-called service. According to most politicians, their reason for getting into politics in the first place was to do something that would help the general public.
Let”s see how aggressively they accept the challenge when there isn”t a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Additionally their health care and retirements should be self-funded, just like the people they claim to serve.
