KELSEYVILLE — The Kelseyville High School softball team lost its third consecutive game on Friday, falling to Fort Bragg 5-1 in Kelseyville.
Senior Cassidy Lowe threw a complete game to earn the victory for the visitors. She gave up seven hits, struck out five and hit one batter with a pitch.
Lowe also had a strong day at the plate, going 2-for-4 with a double.
Fort Bragg scored two runs in the first inning, one in the fourth and two in the fifth. The Timberwolves tallied 11 hits and committed one error.
Kayla Sanchez and Brianna Johnson each had two hits for Fort Bragg.
The Timberwolves benefited from four opposition errors. Kelseyville coach Taryn Kysley said there were “throws that we should be making and errors we shouldn”t be making.”
Senior pitcher Sabrina Lyon went the distance in a losing effort. She struck out two and walked four.
Savannah Meyer and Destiny Pagan each went 2-for-3 at the plate. Sophomore Kassidy Harms drove in Kelseyville”s only run with an RBI groundout in the fifth.
Pagan also showed off her leather with an unassisted double play in the fourth inning. She caught a line drive and tagged a runner out.
The loss dropped Kelseyville”s record to 3-3 overall and 1-2 in the North Central League I. Fort Bragg moved to 1-1 in league.
Kelseyville travels to Middletown on Tuesday.
