KELSEYVILLE — The Kelseyville Knights baseball team lost to Fort Bragg at home 6-4 Friday.

Matt Hernandez pitched four innings and got the win for the visiting Timberwolves (2-1 in North Central League I).

Fort Bragg scored three runs in the second inning, two in the third and one in the fourth.

Junior Nic Vargas took the loss for Kelseyville (2-2 league, 3-5 overall) after pitching 2 2/3 innings, giving up five runs (four earned), four hits and three walks.

Junior Camilo Diaz pitched four strong innings in relief, coming off a six-inning start on Monday.

Vargas and John Mark Reagan each had two hits. The Knights scored one run in the second and three in the fourth.

Kelseyville struck out 11 times and left eight runners on base. “Timely hitting definitely wasn”t there for us today,” coach Lou Poloni said.
