Mary Brown had the distinction of being the first person to file a lawsuit challenging Obama Care”s insurance provision, requiring all Americans to have health insurance. Two years after the suit was filed, The Federation of Small Businesses, through whom she filed the suit, dropped her name from the litigation. Mary had become seriously ill.

Since Mary had no health insurance, she lost her business, a small auto-repair shop.

She had to declare bankruptcy, which meant, of course, that the hospital, doctors, and labs didn”t get paid. But that”s OK because rates will simply be raised for those of us who do have insurance, and, so, the hospital, doctors, and labs will eventually be paid. The story does have a happy ending. The government will never be able to force Mary Brown to buy health insurance! She is now indigent and gets free health care through Medicaid.
