LAKEPORT — Lake County Animal Care and Control announced Thursday its first “Adoption Event” will take place May 5 to 11.
The department will waive the county portion of the adoption fee during the week, reducing the price for dogs by $30 and for cats by $20.
Adoption costs during the event will be $76 for a male cat, $86 for a female cat, $116 for a male dog, $126 for a female dog weighing 60 pounds or less and $141 for a female dog heavier than 60 pounds.
The prices include spaying and neutering, microchip, rabies and other vaccines, heartworm test (when applicable) and license.
The Animal Care and Control shelter will be open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on May 6 for the event.
