MIDDLETOWN — The Lake County Parks Division is recruiting lifeguards for the Middletown Pool for the summer season.
Public Services Director Caroline Chavez made the announcement Thursday.
Special requirements must be met for the lifeguard position.
Potential recruits must possess a current lifeguard certificate as well as certificates for eight hours of training in community CPR, standard first aid and emergency medical service authority (EMSA). Recruits may acquire the EMSA certificate prior to June 1.
Applicants must be at least 15 years old. Candidates for the lead lifeguard position must be at least 17 years old. Lead lifeguard applicants that are certified in water safety instruction are preferred.
