LAKEPORT — The team of Wayne Breazeale and Craig Nelson of Kelseyville won the second annual Konocti Vista Casino Team Bass Classic on Sunday with a two-day total weight of 58.69 pounds.
Breazeale and Nelson said they caught their fish by casting jerkbaits and drop-shotting a plastic worm in the north end of lake. Their tournament winnings came to $1,530.
Second place went to the team of Firuz Gizatullin and Jackson Juarez of Kelseyville with 58.23 pounds. They won $1,000. Wade Durling Sr. and Wade Durling Jr. of Santa Rosa came in third with 56.7 pounds and also caught the big fish of the tournament, an 11.35-pound bass. Their total winnings came to $1,340.
The tournament drew 46 boats and the overall average weight of the fish caught was 4.36 pounds. Only six limits were brought to the scales.
