LAKE COUNTY — The Clear Lake Road Riders Motorcycle Club, chapter L of Gold Wing Touring Association, is hosting the 10th annual Bob Reese Memorial Poker Run on May 20.
Registration will take place at Hillside Honda Yamaha from 9 to 11 a.m.
Entry fee costs $20 per person. This will include lunch at Twin Pine Casino in Middletown.
A 50/50, raffle prizes and $10 match play are available. The poker hand will be drawn at 2 p.m. Attendees do not need to have a motorcycle.
Reese was a long-time resident of Lake County. After Reese”s father died, he took over the management of the Lakeport Theatre for his mother. He and his wife Margaret later bought the theater and took on a partner. They in turn, added the Lakeport Drive-In Movies.
In 1997, Reese and his partner built the Lakeport Cinema 5.
Reese was past president of the Lakeport Rotary. He was on the board of Hartley Cemetery for several years. He also served as grand marshal of the 1995 Memorial Day Parade.
From 1965 through 1968, Reese served as a Lakeport city councilman and mayor. Reese also supported the Pediatric Brain Tumor Foundation. The motorcycle club that he and Margaret belonged to still raises money for this organization.
