LAKE COUNTY — The Kelseyville High School (KHS) mountain bike racing team participated in its second NorCal High School Cycling League race on Sunday, the annual Boggs Mountain Classic. A KHS freshman and senior make up the team. A cyclist from Clear Lake High School trains with the team and raced as an independent rider Sunday. In the freshman race, KHS cyclist Craig Andre finished 47th out of 51 riders with a time of 1:56:20. Freshman cyclist Nathan Barnett finished in seventh place with a time of 1:08:41. Moses Kuzu finished 22nd out of 38 cyclists in the JV Boys Division 2 race with a time of 1:57:12. Coach Jeff Cramer said the team had a “pretty good day.” The team”s next race is the 2012 NorCal Championships, May 6 at 10 a.m. at Stafford Lake Park in Novato.
